About

The story, the stack, the guardrails.

How a missed furnace call on a cold-snap evening became a company, what the orchestration underneath actually does, and the compliance posture we ship — in that order, without the marketing layer.

Why we built this

A missed call after 9 pm can take the day off your books.

We started this company because of a single cold-snap evening at a neighborhood HVAC shop. The on-call dispatcher’s phone rolled to voicemail at 9:01 pm. Three furnace-out calls hit the line before morning. By 8 am a competitor with a 24-hour call center had all three jobs. Our friend lost an entire week of revenue he would otherwise have booked — not because he wasn’t good, but because he wasn’t staffed to answer the phone.

The math on missed calls

Independent research has tracked call-miss rates for small-service businesses for years; the figure rarely drops below a quarter of inbound calls, and well under half of those callers ever ring back. For one- and two-person operators the math is brutal: every missed emergency call is a job that pays for a competitor with a bigger front desk.

A dispatch problem, not a tech problem

Owners already know how to do the work. What they can’t buy is a 24/7 human front desk at the size of their operation — the call-center line item doesn’t fit a three-truck shop or a solo dental practice. The miss happens at the seam between the phone and the calendar.

The seam is what we plumb

We build AI voice agents that pick up the phone in the business’s name, qualify the caller, and book the work — directly into the scheduling and field-service tools the business already pays for. The seam stops being the bottleneck; the owner keeps doing the work.

How it works under the hood

A small set of off-the-shelf tools, wired together so nothing leaks.

People hear “AI agent” and picture custom code. The truth is closer to plumbing: a handful of well-understood components in series, each one a category product already does well, with the integration layer being the only thing we write. Plain language beats jargon — here is what the pieces are and what connects to what.

The voice agent picks up the phone

A voice agent answers in your business’s name, runs an intake script you’ve approved, captures only the fields you asked for, and flags anything that needs human attention. It’s the front desk — with the schedule flexibility to answer every call at 2 am that a 24-hour call center solves for bigger shops.

Your existing systems stay the source of truth

The agent books into your calendar and scheduling tool, logs the lead into your CRM or intake tool, and posts a job ticket to your field-service platform — all directly, with the customer still on the phone. We don’t run a parallel database for you to log into; when the agent books a slot it really is on your day sheet.

The wiring is configuration, not code

The piece we write is the workflow that connects those tools — what the agent captures, which system it lands in, when the reminder fires, what triggers a review ask. Each piece is editable from a visual editor and readable end-to-end; you or your admin can change it without us.

Humans stay in the loop on the calls that matter

When a call hits a safety trigger, a pricing question outside the script, or a conflict-check field, it routes to a human — by SMS, by page, by a tap-through to the right staff member. The agent handles the volume; the human handles the judgment calls.

How we handle your data

Your data stays yours. The scripts stay portable. The compliance posture stays honest.

A voice agent that takes calls for a dental practice or a family-law firm is going to touch sensitive material — and the questions we hear on every scope call are the right ones. Below is the non-marketing version of our answers, including where we drew the lines on purpose so you don’t have to read the small print to find them.

HIPAA-aware scripts, not a HIPAA contract

Our intake scripts for healthcare-adjacent verticals are written to confirm the caller before any PHI is captured, and we ship a per-vertical review checklist you run against your own practice. We are not, by ourselves, your business associate — the BAA is between you and your own scheduling and telephony vendors. We tell you which vendors those are and which BAA each one ships.

Your data and recordings are yours to export

Call recordings, transcripts, and the captured fields the agent logged are your data — yours to export, yours to delete, yours to take to a different provider if you choose. We do not sell aggregated call data, and we do not train shared models on your business’s calls. The export and deletion tools live in your account, not behind a support ticket.

No lock-in: the workflows live in your accounts

The workflow definitions, the agent prompts, and the integration credentials live in tools you (or your admin) can read and edit. If you cancel, the data is exportable, the scripts are exportable, and you don’t lose the routing logic to a proprietary backend. We earn the next month by being better than the alternative, not by holding your data hostage.
